Squishy: Finding Squishy?

I didn't play much yesterday but I played this evening. Evenings in summer mean fireflies! I caught a few just for fun.

I noticed that my tree has taken the shape of a butt. Hopefully it matures soon.

The evenings also mean later shopping hours at the new store, T and T Mart.

Finally a Catalogue!

Chops wanted a piece of furniture so I gave him the frog from the other day.

He then jokes about calling it Squishy. Chops? Your not Dory from Finding Nemo.

"I shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine"
Thanks for reading and sea you guys next time.

Squishy: My thoughts on Earthbound

Earthbound is an RPG where you take the control of Ness and his friends who are on a quest to save the world. It released to the rest of the world around 1994-1995, but Europe didn't get it until 2013. I saw it on the Wii U eshop for just under £5 and decided to give it a go because I was bored. I am so glad I did.

The gameplay is similar to other RPGs, but exploring Earthbound's colourful and lively world made it more fun. The music matches each area perfectly and some songs even made me cry a bit (I'm looking at you Smiles and Tears)

Personally as someone who didn't understand other people's feelings or couldn't use them themselves, Earthbound has taught me something that no other game or even a single person could ever get me to understand. Emotion. It helped me realise why people feel a certain way in certain situations. Thank you Earthbound for teaching me this.

Earthbound is now my favourite game of all time with only one flaw (the first PSI Teleport is really annoying). I would love if Mother 3 released worldwide and if you haven't played Earthbound then I highly recommend giving it a go.

Thank you for reading and I'll see you all next time.

Squishy: Froggy thinking

On Saturday Avery wanted to move out. He is one of those villagers that I don't mind having in town. I'm saving him for a rainy day (like today)

While watering flowers Blaire pinged me. I went to talk to her and accidently used my watering can.

After 5 seconds of a watering can animation she wanted a cabin wall that I had in my pockets. Okay then.

Today I met my newest villager, Groucho. I'm already thinking of ways to get rid of him.

I got a cushion remade to have an orange print on it (for "decoration")

I also got a camper called Eunice. I didn't bother inviting her into Cosmic.

Also while fishing I just realised something. Why are frogs both villagers and fish? I feel like I just caught one of Jeremiah's relatives or something.

Thank you for reading and I'll see you all again next time.

Squishy: Hearty villagers...

I started the game and discovered Katrina's tent.

When I entered my lucky item was pants. Luckily in Animal Crossing it means trousers.

When I spoke with Jeremiah he seemed a bit more... compassionate than usual. Okay.

I don't know why I'm only noticing this now but the smoke coming out of Iggly's house is in the shape of fish.

I knew there was something fishy about these houses

Chops starting talking about music boxes and hes excited to share a song.

My villagers seem really romantic today. At least June is a perfect month for weddings.

Lastly when I had a little chat with Avery he was talking about a chat he had with Beth.

Thank you for reading. I will see you again on Sunday!

Squishy: Summer Solstice

Today is the Summer Solstice, the longest and brightest day of the year. Especially in Animal Crossing where they take the longer day concept too seriously by making it bright all day long. You will meet Isabelle at the event Plaza and she will give you some shades.

They also have a face cutout board available to stick your head into.

I had some random mangos in my pockets and I was too lazy to go to ReTail so I just planted them.

Blaire wanted a new catchphrase so I told her to say "in my shoe". The results are already amazing.

When I spoke to Jeremiah he was telling me a rumour that I came from a fishing family. These villagers really don't know me at all.

Thank you for reading and come back soon. :)

Squishy: Fruity Secret Exposed

About a week ago Jeremiah wanted to play hide and seek.

I played with him alongside Blaire and Avery. They didn't take too long to find. I couldn't remember what I got for winning though.

Last Friday Beth's umbrella came to visit for a while to explore my new town.

Later on that day (or the next day here in Europe) Jeff opened his gate for Friday Night Forest.

Sadly the session was cut short due to bad connections from somewhere or maybe the E3 hype still haven't died down. Regardless thanks to Jeff, Beth, Merka (the second attempt) and Mike (the other attempts) for a fun few minutes.

So today Truffles told me that she is obsessed with fruit. Your secret is safe with me... and everyone who reads this blog. :D

Actually she just wanted some fruit. I'll keep that in mind for later.

On Main Street I spotted a Froggit. Don't worry, I showed him some Mercy. :)

I took a trip to the garden shop for an axe. Sadly no luck. Why is it that when I need an axe they don't have one for sale?

Oh yeah. I didn't forget about Truffles' fruit. I gave her a mango for a noble shirt. Woo...

Thank you for reading and have a good week. Tomorrow is the longest day of the year so I will have an update then.

Squishy: My thoughts on Q Con

Earlier today I went to my first gaming (and anime) convention in my Grape Striped Shirt (from Animal Crossing. Q Con! Here I'm going to talk about my experience.

First of all the staff there are really nice and friendly so thank you to the guys who made the convention possible.

There was an area called "Artist Alley" where people were selling some homemade gaming and anime merchandise. While I was there I bought some posters, a Yoshi plushie and a really good quality Pikachu cushion.  Sometimes you can even get some freebies.

They also had an area called "The Space" where they had different games set up like Smash Bros (all four in the series), Hyrule Warriors and some Street Fighter. It felt really weird playing Smash Bros with random people sitting next to me but they were cool people. There was also an area set up for people on their portable systems. It's a great Streetpassing spot especially since I live in an area with hardly any.

Overall Q Con was a great convention. I will be sure to go all three days next year in a cosplay. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Especially if you have never been to a convention before.

Thank you for reading.

Squishy: My thoughts on E3 2016

I didn't stick around for all of E3, However I am quite pleased with what was shown over the last few days and look forward to some of the releases.

First of Stardew Valley is coming to Wii U, PS4 and Xbox One. As someone who enjoyed the Harvest Moon games and who prefers a controller over a keyboard. I am very excited to play it. Stardew Valley is expected to come out on consoles during Q4 of 2016.

Next is some more Super Mario amiibo. I don't try to collect every single amiibo, but I will be trying to grab Rosalina, Waluigi and Boo (who glows in the dark by the way)

The last thing that took my breath away during E3 was the new Zelda, The Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild. Coming out on Wii U and NX in March 2017 (hopefully)

The title didn't stick with me but the game itself looks so pretty. The open world gave me a Xenoblade Chronicles vibe. I need to hurry up and finish a Zelda game.

So what did you guys like about E3? Leave your thoughts in the comments and thank you for reading.

Squishy: Figgy Piggy

Welcome to my Animal Crossing New Leaf blog. Here you can stay updated on my adventures in my town Cosmic. I recently restarted my town but I kept my stuff and have unlocked a few things. I also want to give my town a theme. So lets get started.

I woke up to typical UK weather. Yay (sarcasm).
When talking to Rocket she was talking about Splatoon (your a bit late to the Splatfest).
Actually she just wanted to move out of town. Honestly I'm not a huge fan of the superhero villagers so I let her fly away.

Truffles invited me over to her house and warned me about her sticky piggy.. I mean figgy pudding.

The bad weather was annoying me so I took a summer holiday to the Island. When I got there I saw that they had bushes for sale. Yes! I needed some bushes for my town so I played some minigames and earned a few.
When I returned to Cosmic I planted my bushes in some of the spots that I labelled.
Thanks for reading and have a good week.
